Cartel Fit started a brand new program that speaks to Women.
Daniella Corder - Coach Cords, curated a program that speak to women, for women to train according to monthly cycle.
AIM of training according to monthly cycle
- Educate women on how to train according to their monthly cycle
- Create a community
- Offer a space where women can train safely and hygienically during lockdown
- Working with our hormones instead of against them and becoming more hormonally in tune with our bodies
- Tailoring the classes each week to cater for the 4 different phases of monthly cycle
Men can join the workouts and chose the trainings that suits them best but for women the program was designed following menstrual phases.
MENSTRUAL PHASE
Day 1 - 5 (week 1)
- Energy and hormone levels at their lowest
TYPES OF CLASSES:
- Yoga
- Stretch and mobility
- Pilates
- Low volume strength training (resistance bands)
Day 6 - 13 (week 2)
- Energy levels begin to rise
TYPES OF CLASSES:
- Aerobics / step classes
- Dance class
- Rebounding class (trampolines - if this is an option)
- HIIT
Day 14 - 16 (week 3 & 4)
- Energy levels at their highest\
TYPES OF CLASSES:
- HIIT
- Functional training
- Bootcamp
- Boxing
- Power yoga
Day 16 - 28 (week 4)
- High energy during first 5 days of this phase, thereafter energy begins to dip.
TYPES OF CLASSES:
- HIIT
- Functional training
- Pilates
- Weight training
- Barre
